Dear ORAWORLD Readers

The twentieth edition of our e-magazine ORAWORLD is out now!

I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the lives of people all around the world and has largely affected user group events and conferences. As of now, all events until June had to be cancelled or postponed. We asked some of the user group representatives how the crisis currently affects their work and events. You can find their statements on page 57.

Another crisis that affects all of us has slightly moved into the background lately: the environmental crisis. For this issue’s title story, we conducted an interview with Steven Feuerstein and Vincent Morneau, the two founders of the fabe project. Fabe is an APEX-based PWA that helps its users to slow the rate of planetary warming and to stop human-caused extinctions.

Of course, this issue has many more interesting stories from the world of Oracle and beyond: Kellyn Potvin’Gorman from Microsoft gives us some insights into the partnership of Oracle and Microsoft Azure, while Andre Ontalba and Rodrigo Mufalani are showing how to clone an Oracle Autonomous Database.

In addition, this issue continues some great articles from the last issue: Phil Wilkins gives more Tips for Oracle ACE Associates, Carsten Czarski brings you the third part of his APEX series, Connor McDonald picks up on last issue’s title story “The AskTOM Journey”, and Jim Czuprynski shows you more of his super-powers, Machine Learning and Autonomous Database.

Enjoy reading and stay healthy!

These stories are waiting for you:

. How an App Helps to Heal our Planet: Interview with the Founders of fabe
. The AskTOM Journey (Part 2): Today and the Future
. Tips for Oracle Ace Associates and other Advocacy Groups (Part 2: Writing and Presenting)

And more!
