Dear ORAWORLD Readers

The nineteenth edition of our e-magazine ORAWORLD is out now!

The first issue of 2020 brings you many interesting articles and stories from the Oracle cosmos and beyond.

In our title story, Connor McDonald dives into the history of AskTOM. He reflects on the site’s inception and how it is intertwined with his personal journey. Jim Czuprynski, who was responsible for issue #17’s title story on changing expectations for DBAs, returns to ORAWORLD showing us his super-power: Autonomous Database and Machine Learning.

APEX expert Carsten Czarski continues his series, with part two examining the new features that come with APEX 19.2. Ace Director and passionate blogger Phil Wilkins starts his two-part article Tips for Oracle Ace Associates and other Advocacy Groups. Part one offers great advice on how to share your story and knowledge through blogging.

In our last issue, ORAWORLD team member Heli reflected on the Groundbreakers EMEA Tour 2019. In this issue, Sandesh Rao, one of the speakers, brings you another extensive report on the tour, while RoOUG president Ciprian Onofreiciuc shares his experiences of organizing the tour’s Bucharest leg.
